Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas's general manager, Cynthia Kiser Murphey
"The narrative of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians will be presented at the International Casino Conference. They achieved a remarkable feat—being the first Native American tribe to own and operate a casino resort in Las Vegas—and we are excited to share their story with you."
"Our team opened Palms in less than four months - a period which included sourcing, hiring and training 1,200 exceptional team members; overcoming strategic sourcing and supply chain issues; and dealing with unknowns that we encountered as the first tribal entity to own and operate a casino resort in Las Vegas," Murphey reflected on the project's logistical challenges.
It means a lot to us that many of the original Palms employees came back to work with us when we opened. The team members who have worked here before have raved about how much fun it is to work together, and they want to come back. Palms continues to thrive because of their energy and excitement.
